This page helps give an indication as to whether a term time only paid person may have been under or over paid on their last day of service.
There are two parts to the system:
TTO Leave Calculator
Basis of Calculations
TTO Leave Calculator
This part is for the user to input details and request the system calculations
Basis of Calculations
This part shows the logic underpinning how the term time only multipliers are derived. The page also further shows if there has been a local override of either the formula for a TTO salary based upon less than five years' service or for a TTO salary based upon a local long service enhancement.
The term time only (TTO) pay calculator can be used for estimating how much pay a person might be entitled to if working term time only. It is based upon a scenario of workers receiving an extra five days of annual leave after five years of service. It is configured with:
a generic set of UK school holdiay dates
and
UK bank holidays (these can be viewed by clicking the
icon on the page)
The system delivers five major outputs:
The normal pay available in a defined period.
The school closure and bank holidays in the defined period.
The amount of pay that would be available for a person working that same period but not on a term time only contract. Here school closure dates are considered non-working days.
The amount of pay that a term time only person would receive for the defined period.
An indication as to whether a term time only person may have been under or over paid for the period.
The user must input:
System default is 36 hours
The actual non-TTO spine point salary
The generic system formula can be overridden with multipliers that the user prefers. These must be in the format of a decimal less than 1.00. E.g. 0.8629 or 0.8820.
The
button on the page requests the system to calculate estimated pay based upon the values inputted by the user.
